Police seized R3 million worth of drugs on Monday morning.
A man and woman are expected to appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after they were arrested for possession of R3 million worth of drugs on Monday morning.
The couple, a 29-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, was arrested by members of the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team and face charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
The provincial police spokesperson, Captain Frederick van Wyk said the couple were arrested at approximately 4.30am on Monday, June 15.
“The members received information of drug activity at a bed and breakfast situated in the Langverwacht area in Kuilsriver. They acted swiftly on the information, and upon arrival at the identified address, members found a male fitting the description of the suspect and a female in the room,” van Wyk said.
