Fadiel Adams.
Parliament has disputed claims by MP Fadiel Adams that the laptop issued to him by the institution has been malfunctioning for the past 18 months.
In a statement on Tuesday, Parliament said it checked its ICT Service Desk records after Adams made the allegations while appearing before the Madlanga Commission on Tuesday morning.
Parliament said there was no record during the period in question of a continuing laptop malfunction, hardware failure or repeated instances of the device freezing.
The statement comes after Adams testified at the Madlanga Commission and claimed that his laptop had not been working for about 18 months and was the reason he could not respond to the commission’s emails.
