“You should not be operational as a parliamentarian at all,” Chair Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga blasted Fadiel Adams’ claim that his laptop had not been working for about 18 months and was the reason he could not respond to the commission’s emails.
The sharp exchange came as the Madlanga Commission confronted Adams over his failure to provide a witness statement despite repeated requests.
Adams told the inquiry that his laptop freezes daily, making it difficult for him to access correspondence.
He said he only became aware of the commission’s request for his statement about three months ago.
