MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has extended to Aug. 17 the statutory tax deadlines for taxpayers in areas affected by Tropical Storm Maymay and the enhanced southwest monsoon (Habagat).

Under Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 89-2026, the BIR said the extension covers 58 of its offices and units, including 53 regular revenue district offices (RDOs) and five Large Taxpayer Audit and Excise Divisions.
