MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang ordered the suspension of classes and government work in Metro Manila and 22 other areas in Luzon on Thursday, Aug. 6, because of heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm Maymay (international name: Kujira) and the southwest monsoon.
