According to reports received by IranWire, at least three Kurdish citizens were arrested by security forces in Kamyaran and its surrounding areas during the first two weeks of August 2026.
Based on these reports, Jamal Rostami, a 57-year-old Kurdish citizen from Kamyaran, was violently arrested without a judicial warrant at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the village of Shahini by forces from the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The arrest took place in the presence of his family, after which he was transferred to an undisclosed location.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, IRGC Intelligence forces again raided Rostami’s private garden property, thoroughly searching the premises and instilling fear among his family members.
As of the publication of this report, no information is available regarding the grounds for his arrest, his current whereabouts, or his health condition.
IranWire has further learned that two other citizens from the village of Shahini, identified as Foad Shadi and Esmail Khateri, were previously detained by security forces and transferred to unknown locations.
