A total of 261 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line on August 5, with the fiercest fighting continuing in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook in its 08:00 operational update on August 6.
Russian forces launched two missile strikes using 30 missiles and carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 299 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the Russians deployed 10,672 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,314 shelling attacks, including 66 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukraine's missile forces and artillery struck nine Russian UAV command posts, four areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, and seven command posts.
