There were 216 combat clashes on the front line, and in the Pokrovsk direction the Russians carried out 23 attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions, losing nearly 50 invaders.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its operational update as of 22:00 on August 4, 2026, posted on Facebook.
"Overall, since the beginning of this day, there have been 216 combat clashes. The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles, carried out 68 airstrikes, and dropped 213 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 6,428 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,294 shellings of populated areas and our troops' positions," the military said.
According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions the enemy carried out three attacks, one combat engagement is still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched one airstrike using two guided aerial bombs and carried out 49 shellings of Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
