SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 172 residents in this province have been evacuated from their homes as Tropical Storm “Maymay” (international name: Kujira) and the enhanced southwest monsoon continue to bring inclement weather to the province on Wednesday.
Data from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) showed that 156 individuals were staying in evacuation centers, while 16 individuals were taking shelter outside designated evacuation facilities.
The evacuees came from Barangay San Vicente in Palauig, Barangays Malabon and Pamibian in Candelaria, and Barangays Canaynayan and San Fernando in Sta. Cruz.
