PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – Continuous heavy rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat have triggered flooding in several barangays of Dinas town, Zamboanga del Sur, affecting homes, fishponds, and prompting pre-emptive evacuations, local officials reported on Saturday, July 11.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said at least 279 residents are now staying in designated evacuation centers as authorities closely monitor the situation.
