Strong winds and rough seas are expected along parts of the Western Cape coast on Wednesday, while most of South Africa remains dry and cool.

South Africans can expect largely fine, cool to warm weather on Wednesday, with only a slight chance of rain forecast for parts of the Western Cape.

The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 1 warning for damaging winds and rough seas between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning, which could make navigation difficult for small vessels.

The Western Cape will see partly cloudy skies with morning fog along the west and south-west coast and adjacent interior areas.

Light drizzle is expected in parts of the south-west, while a 30% chance of rain is forecast for coastal areas between Cape Town and the Cape Winelands.
