A 59-year-old man was arrested on the island of Rhodes on Monday for possession of 1.3 kilos of cocaine, police said Tuesday.
Authorities said the man had just arrived on the island by boat from Piraeus and was in a taxi when he was stopped by police. During the police check, officers found 1.2 kilos of cocaine in his possession, while another 121 grams and a precision scale were found in his rented accommodation and his residence.
The case against him calls for charges of possession, transportation and trafficking of narcotics, and the man is expected to appear before a prosecutor later in the day.
