Two men were arrested in Mykonos on Monday for drug trafficking, after police found around five kilos of drugs in their possession.

The suspects, a 23-year-old Greek national and a 23-year-old foreigner, had allegedly been active in drug trafficking since mid-July, using motorcycles for their movements and the distribution of the drugs to users on the island.

On Monday, officers located the two suspects and searched their motorcycles and residences where they found more than 4.6 kilograms of cannabis and approximately 688 grams of cocaine, part of which had already been divided into dozens of small packages ready for distribution. Police also found €21,800, two mobile phones and a precision scale.

The two are expected to appear before a prosecutor in Syros during the day.
