Former Totalsports Women’s Race Cape Town champion Fortunate Chidzivo of Zimbabwe is hoping for another standout performance in the Mother City this Sunday.
"It's always a pleasure to line up for the Totalsports Women's Race," said Chidzivo. "It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate women while doing what I love most—running. It's a truly unique way to mark the occasion.”
With the event taking place on Women’s Day, securing a victory would be the ultimate celebration for Chidzivo, who last won the race four years ago.
However, the 39-year-old will have her work cut out for her. She faces a stacked field of top contenders, including Lesotho’s Neheng Khatala, Great Britain’s Emma Pallant-Browne, Kenya’s Fridah Ndinda, and South Africa’s Ntsoaki Molahloe. Khatala enters as the race favorite after clinching victory at the series opener in Durban last weekend with an impressive time of 32:06.
