Casisikle Sosibo showed great powers of recovery when she manged to secure a third-place finish at the Totalsports Women’s Race Joburg on Sunday last week, less than 24 hours after winning the senior women’s 10km title at the Central Gauteng Cross Country Championships.

Cacisile Sosibo will look to continue her impressive 2026 season when she lines up at the Absa Run Your City Tshwane 10K on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Boxer Athletics Club runner has enjoyed the best 10km campaign of her career, lowering her personal best to 32:16 in the Spar Women’s Grand Prix Series in June before finishing sixth in a strong international field at last month’s Absa Run Your City Durban 10K in 32:36.

That performance provided another confidence boost as Sosibo continues to rediscover the form that saw her finish 10th in the 21km race at the 2023 World Road Running Championships in Riga, where she ran a personal best 1:09:31.

She further underlined her consistency last weekend, finishing third in 34:01 at the Totalsports Women’s Race Joburg less than 24 hours after winning the senior women’s 10km title at the Central Gauteng Cross Country Championships.
