MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) Signal No. 1 is still hoisted in eight areas in Luzon even as Tropical Depression Luis slightly weakened while moving northward over the Philippine Sea east of Isabela, according to the state weather bureau on Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 11 a.m. weather bulletin that Tropical Depression Luis was last spotted 165 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela.
It is now packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph, moving northward at 15 kph.
