MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 remains in effect in four areas in Luzon as Tropical Depression Luis continues to move northwestward over the Philippine Sea east of Aurora, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Sunday afternoon reported that Luis was last spotted some 285 kilometers (km) east of Baler, Aurora, with a maximum sustained wind speed of of 55 kiloemters per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 70 kph while moving northwest at 15 kph.

TCWS No. 1 is still up over the Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, the northern portion of Camarines Sur (Caramoan, Garchitorena, Lagonoy, Tinambac, Siruma) and the northern portion of Catanduanes (Pandan, Caramoran, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga).
