MANILA, Philippines—Tropical Depression Luis weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) as of 8 p.m. Monday, the state weather bureau said.
In an advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the weather disturbance remains inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
Earlier in the day, Luis made landfall over Maconacon, Isabela, after crossing the coastal waters of northeastern Luzon.
