MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine area of responsibility and off Infanta, Quezon has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression (TD) within the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz said during a 5 p.m weather advisory that once the LPA develops into a TD, tropical cyclone wind signals are likely to be raised over the eastern parts of Southern and Central Luzon.
“Kung sakaling ito ay maging bagyo, agad agad tayong magtataas ng tropical cyclone wind signals, most likely sa silangang bahagi ng Southern Luzon and Central luzon,” she said.
(Should it develop into a tropical cyclone, we will immediately raise tropical cyclone wind signals, most likely over the eastern parts of Southern Luzon and Central Luzon.)
