Police on the resort island of Mykonos have arrested a man suspected of blackmailing the owner of a local bar, allegedly threatening to make false complaints to authorities over excessive noise from the business.

A police statement said the 57-year-old Greek suspect was arrested on the Aegean Sea island on Friday. He had allegedly just received €50,000 in cash from the businessman, who had notified police who were on the spot to detain the suspected blackmailer.
