GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines — The Police Regional Office-12 (PRO-12), through its Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU), is intensifying efforts to trace the source of a social media post containing an alleged shooting threat against two schools in General Santos City, a police official said Friday, July 31.
Brig. Gen. Alan B. Manibog, PRO-12 director, said initial investigation by the police showed that the social media post did not originate within Region 12 but from another region.
He said authorities are currently conducting a cyber investigation to identify the individual responsible for creating and spreading the online threat.
