Mohammad Ali (Armin) Jannatkhah, a social media activist, has been arrested and transferred to Fashafuyeh Prison, also known as Greater Tehran Prison, to begin serving a final three-year prison sentence.
According to available information, Jannatkhah was detained on July 21 and subsequently transferred to Fashafuyeh Prison to commence his three-year term.
The charge brought against him in the judicial case is listed as “strengthening the positions of Israel.”
Jannatkhah was previously arrested by security forces in December 2023. Official details regarding his court proceedings and the specifics of his sentence have not been publicly disclosed.
Concurrent with his arrest and transfer to prison, a campaign calling for Armin Jannatkhah’s release has gained momentum. Reports indicate that more than 5,000 people have signed the petition in recent days, demanding his immediate release.
