News outlet Emtedad reports that political activists Alireza Beheshti Shirazi and Naser Daneshfar have each been sentenced to 15 months in prison, while Mohammad Javad Dardekshan has been sentenced to six months.
Lawyers representing the three activists stated that the sentences were issued on charges of “propaganda against the system” for signing a joint statement.
Hojjat Kermani, counsel for Alireza Beheshti Shirazi, confirmed his client’s 15-month sentence. Mohammad Ali Kamfirouzi, representing Naser Daneshfar and Mohammad Javad Dardekshan, announced that Daneshfar received a 15-month sentence, while Dardekshan was sentenced to six months.
According to the defense attorneys, judicial proceedings were initiated against their clients following a Ministry of Intelligence report in February. The case stemmed from their signing of a statement, alongside 400 political activists, supporting Mir-Hossein Mousavi’s condemnation of the events of January 2026.
The case was heard in Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on the charge of “propaganda against the system,” ultimately resulting in prison sentences for the three activists.
