KZN weather: Snow hits Drakensberg, officials on standby as rain continues

Rain continues to fall in Kokstad, while Underberg is experiencing rain and misty conditions

KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma has commended teams from the departments of Transport and Human Settlements for their response to the province's severe weather conditions.

According to the Road Traffic Inspectorate, snowfall has been reported in the Drakensberg, including at Sani Pass Border Post and Mount Fletcher.

Rain continues to fall in Kokstad, while Underberg is experiencing rain and misty conditions.

Duma said graders are on standby to remove it before it could accumulate to above 30cm.
