The Madlanga Commission heard that the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) requested detailed records of Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) members who travelled to the Western Cape to arrest Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams.
Evidence presented before the commission on Tuesday revealed that IDAC sought the identities of the officers involved, travel documentation and authorisation records linked to the deployment.
Adams was arrested on May 5 on charges of defeating or obstructing the course of justice. The charges stem from allegations that he interfered with the investigation into the murder of former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa.
