The Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Nicolette Bell, is likely to replace Advocate Andrea Johnson, who recently resigned as head of IDAC.
Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions (DNDPP), Advocate Nicolette Bell, is likely to replace former Advocate Andrea Johnson as the head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC).
This is after sources said Bell is likely to take over the role.
On Sunday, Johnson wrote a formal letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa and the National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) Advocate Andy Mothibi, requesting to vacate her office immediately and have her three-month notice period waived.
She stated that she faced severe, relentless attacks over the past five months linked to IDAC’s investigations into the SAPS Crime Intelligence officials, adding that leaving the office immediately would “serve the institution and the country best”.
