The Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Nicolette Bell, is likely to replace Advocate Andrea Johnson, who recently resigned as head of IDAC.

Advocate Andrea Johnson continued to testify before the Madlanga Commission on July 28.

Advocate Nicolette Bell, the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions (DNDPP), is expected to succeed former Advocate Andrea Johnson as the head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC).

This comes after rumours that Bell will probably assume the position.

On Sunday, Johnson wrote a formal letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa and the National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) Advocate Andy Mothibi, requesting to vacate her office immediately and have her three-month notice period waived.
