Ayanda Allie has broken her silence after her expulsion from Build One South Africa (BOSA).
Former Build One South Africa (BOSA) Gauteng MPL Ayanda Allie has broken her silence after being expelled from the party, claiming she was removed following a bitter dispute over salary levies, constituency funding and a disciplinary process in which an independent chairperson allegedly found her actions did not justify dismissal.
Allie says her fallout with the party stemmed from her refusal to comply with financial arrangements she believed undermined her ability to serve communities, setting the stage for a protracted internal battle that ultimately ended with her expulsion.
The former legislator, who represented BOSA in the Gauteng Legislature for two years, said tensions began after she declined to sign a Code of Conduct requiring elected representatives to donate part of their salaries to the party.
According to Allie, the original requirement compelled members to contribute an entire month’s salary annually, in addition to 10% of their gross salary every month. She said the policy was later amended, removing the annual contribution and reducing the monthly levy to 10% of her net salary, which she accepted and signed.
