Former Build One South Africa (BOSA) Gauteng MPL Ayanda Allie has detailed the events she says led to her expulsion from the party, alleging that a dispute over salary levies and constituency funding ultimately resulted in the termination of her membership.

“I hereby confirm my expulsion from Build One South Africa (BOSA),” Allie said.

“Over the past two years, I have been honoured to serve the people of Gauteng as a Member of the Provincial Legislature, deployed by BOSA. I approached this role with commitment, integrity and a great sense of responsibility, and I am confident that my work reflected those values.”

According to Allie, tensions with the party began after she objected to signing a code of conduct that required public representatives to donate an entire month’s salary annually, in addition to contributing 10% of their gross monthly salary to the party.

She said the policy was later amended.
