Advocate Andrea Johnson, the head of the Independent Directorate Against Corruption, faced scrutiny before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry concerning inconsistencies in her evidence relating to a contentious affidavit implicating senior police officers.
A testimony from Advocate Andrea Johnson, who heads the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), has led to formal ethics challenges against her.
This was after the Public Interest SA (PISA) and Brigadier Dineo Mokwele lodged formal complaints against Johnson.
PISA lodged a complaint with the Legal Practice Council (LPC), while Mokwele filed with the IDAC Ombud.
The two complaints followed Johnson’s explosive and highly criticised testimony at the Madlanga Commission last week.
