Suliman Carrim seeks to halt the Madlanga Commission's subpoena, claiming his rights are being violated amidst serious allegations of influence-peddling.
Madlanga Commission has reserved its ruling on whether North West businessman Suliman Carrim should receive an indefinite postponement from testifying after explosive evidence suggested he spent more time outside a medical facility than inside it.
Commission chairperson Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga declined to deliver an immediate decision after hearing submissions from both legal teams on Friday.
“The ruling will be made at a date to be announced,” Madlanga said.
The commission heard that geo-location data painted a picture that appeared to contradict claims that Carrim is too ill to testify.
