Pulp+Wire has carved out its niche by creating rebellious design work for consumer packaged goods brands that break out of traditional expectations, for which it’s been honored as Design Agency of the Year, Silver at the 2026 Ad Age Small Agency Awards.
Female-founded, funded and led, the Portland, Maine-based design agency understands first impressions only have seconds to land. It’s that understanding that led it to turn first impressions into conversions and sales for clients including Evie’s, Singing Pastures and Elevate Organic in 2025.
For Evie’s, a Texas-based, family-owned pecan farm brand, Pulp+Wire broke away from category conventions to create new brand packaging and digital designs that would stand out as much as the product’s bold flavors and regional identity.
With a design that featured a Texas-sized pecan and a distinctive cowgirl-inspired mark alongside saturated colors and bold typography, the agency was able to create more recognition for Evie’s. The new design system drove a 16% quarter-over-quarter lift in unit sales in a controlled comparison at retail, according to the agency’s entry.
