Broadhead’s story last year was one of reinvention—done the hard way.

The Minneapolis agency, which relied heavily on agriculture and transportation marketing, ended 2024 in crisis as spending among its clients in those sectors plunged 15% and 49%, respectively. That forced seismic changes at the agency, which upended its processes and systems to adjust to a new reality of project-based work and shifting client expectations.

Broadhead reorganized teams into customer groups, created proprietary AI systems, adopted sprints and output-based pricing—and eliminated 17% of staff.

Broadhead ended 2025 with a 6.8% decline in revenue, to $27.2 million, but profitability more than doubled to over 22%, according to the agency, which also won 21 new clients in categories such as banking, healthcare and pet food. It is now on track to notch $30 million in revenue this year, earning it the title of Small Agency of the Year, Midwest, Silver at the 2026 Ad Age Small Agency Awards.
