APC Chieftain Abimbola Olawumi Allegedly Abducted Outside Abuja Court Amid Ekiti Primary Dispute

It was shortly after she left the Court of Appeal on Wednesday that the alleged attack occurred.

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs. Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi, was allegedly abducted by suspected hoodlums in Abuja shortly after she left the Court of Appeal, where she had gone to obtain Certified True Copies (CTCs) of documents tied to her legal fight over the party's governorship primary.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Olawumi had earlier appeared before the Supreme Court in person to press her appeal against the APC primary that produced Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji as the party's candidate.

The sources said the apex court granted her leave to appear as a litigant in person, and after she argued her case and cited relevant authorities, directed her to first obtain CTCs of relevant documents from the Court of Appeal before the matter could proceed further.
