The Impeachment Committee has extended the submission of nominations for the evidence leader until Friday in an effort to widen the pool of candidates to choose from.
The committee initially gave parties until July 10 to make nominations, and only five out of the nine nominees indicated their availability to take up the role.
The four on the list are advocates Vuyani Ngalwana, Kate Hofmeyer, Ismail Jamie, and Pule Seleka.
The parliamentary legal services said that during their due diligence, they became aware of a case where Ngalwana was an acting judge and made comments on the Independent Panel.
