Reuben Owen rose to fame with his family on Channel 4's Our Yorkshire Farm15:55, 19 Jul 2026Our Yorkshire Farm favourite Reuben Owen has made no secret of where he'd happily put down roots.‌Speaking straight to the camera during Sunday's repeat broadcast of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, the elder Owen son said of the family's newly acquired Anty John's estate: "Other than Ravenseat, it is probably one of the only places I'd consider living happily."‌The spin-off programme chronicles the Owen clan as they tackle the enormous challenge of restoring a secluded, dilapidated farmhouse nestled deep within the Yorkshire Dales.‌At the center of the endeavor is Amanda Owen, the shepherdess and mother of nine. Throughout the series, she has been forthright about her ambitions for Anty John's - not simply as a restoration venture, but as a prospective residence for her expanding family.For a household as substantial as the Owens, the extra room is not simply a luxury - it is essential. Her former husband, Clive, shared that view, reflecting on how valuable the new property might turn out to be, reports the Express.‌The duo also addressed their separation in the episode, with Clive branding it a "strange few years"."Me and Clive, although we're still husband and wife, we are separate," Amanda told the camera. "This last year has been incredibly hard in so many respects, but we've got through."‌Clive added, "Me and Amanda, we've had a strange few years, and we're now at a place where, although we're not actually together, we're still in business together, and we still have these kids together."It's a crazy situation, but it isn't. It's the most sensible thing for everybody to do."Amanda went on to say, "It's just what happened, just pressures and stresses. But now we kind of pull them back together again because we kind of need to, because we've got a house to do up.Article continues below"Because of course, Raveseat isn't ours; it's tenanted. So when Anty John's was put up for sale, it was a dream come true, really.""It is nice to own a piece of this wonderful valley, and because there are so many of us, a house is certainly going to come in handy," Clive said.
