Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen met girlfriend Jess Ellwood at a Young Farmers' convention in 202413:58, 20 May 2026Reuben Owen has firmly ruled out any chance of a 'big move' with his girlfriend Jess Ellwood.‌The TV personality, who rose to fame on Our Yorkshire Farm, has made it crystal clear that neither he nor Jess would ever abandon rural life for the hustle and bustle of a city.‌The young couple's romance began at a Young Farmers' convention in 2024, before they publicly confirmed their relationship that November.‌The pair have now reached a significant milestone, having officially set up home together. Reuben, who was raised nearby in Swaledale, is thrilled to be settled at Jess' family farm at Brough Castle, Cumbria.When Storm and Alexis quizzed the couple on their Channel 5 chat show about whether they'd ever swap country living for urban life, the answer was emphatic.‌The stars of Channel 5's Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales, both aged 22, have absolutely no intention of turning their backs on the countryside, reports the Express.Alexis Conran asked: "Should I even bother asking you two? Are there any times perhaps you're doing your farming and thinking 'God I wish I was in a big town instead of out here'".Reuben swiftly dismissed any notion of leaving rural life behind, responding: "Personally, no. I've always grown up in the countryside."‌In a touching declaration, he looked at girlfriend Jess and said: "And working with you, being in the countryside, and spending time together. There is no place I'd rather be, but I'd go anywhere with you."Storm Huntley enquired: "So there isn't going to be a big move for you to come to London, become city slickers anytime." The pair aren't tempted by urban living, with Reuben responding: "No, I don't think so."‌In conversation with the Mirror regarding his move in with Jess, Reuben explained: "I used to come down at night to see Jess, and I just wouldn't want to leave her. And then you stay another night, and another."He continued: "It started with a toothbrush, and now my pants are in the washing machine, and my dinner is on the table. Now I'm all in. We're loving our time together; it just gets better and better. It's brilliant being with Jess' family too, they're such a lovely bunch."Reuben remarked about Jess' relatives: "They've taken me in and welcomed me with open arms. We do go out for the odd meal for a date night, and we went on holiday together to Cyprus last year.
