A series of bomb threats sent by email prompted evacuations at several sites in Vilnius and Kaunas on Friday before police determined the warnings were false.
The threats targeted high-tech group Teltonika, an office building and emergency medical services facilities in the two cities.
Police said the emails threatened explosions at the locations. At about 11:00, officers received a report of a possible bomb threat at Teltonika’s premises, prompting the evacuation of employees while officers searched the buildings.
Similar threatening emails were sent to emergency medical services and another office building.
Police said no explosives were found during the searches and that no actual danger was identified.
