What Perplexity Computer actually does
Perplexity Computer launched on February 25, 2026, and it represents a meaningfully different approach to AI agents. Rather than a chatbot that answers questions and forgets you exist, this system is designed to execute multi-day tasks autonomously inside isolated Linux sandboxes.
Each sandbox ships with 2 vCPUs and 8GB of RAM. The platform supports over 400 OAuth integrations, meaning these sandboxes can authenticate with and interact with a huge range of third-party applications.
