Amid questions swirling around the fatal shooting at Canada’s biggest Latin street festival in Toronto on Saturday, its key sponsor has threatened to drop its support — seemingly jeopardizing the event’s future.
Aldo Di Felice, president of TLN Media Group Inc., the founder and media partner of the TD Salsa on St. Clair festival, demanded in a scathing online statement Monday that the city ramp up its policing — hours after the mayor and police chief had reaffirmed festivals would continue to get police resources.
