A drug activist popularly known as Mr Moloto faces charges after setting fire to ex-lover's rehab centre.
A Limpopo businessman and owner of the popular Limpopo Anti-Drug Gangsterism and Crime (LADGAC) Rehabilitation Centre has been released on R50,000 bail after appearing in the Polokwane Magistrates' Court on charges of malicious damage to property.
Tsebe Phillimon Moloto, popularly known as Mr Moloto, faces two counts of malicious damage to property. He also made a brief appearance in the Seshego Magistrates' Court in connection with one of the charges.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Moloto, 51, and the complainant were previously involved in a romantic relationship and were business partners at the LADGAC Rehabilitation Centre in Seshego.
The NPA said that after their personal and business relationship ended, the complainant established her own rehabilitation centre.
