A man accused of forcing his friend to take drugs and then stabbed him repeatedly was granted R5,000 bail.
An Overport man, who allegedly forced his “friend” to take drugs and repeatedly stabbed him, was granted R5,000 bail in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Mohommed Feroz Amod, 21, was arrested and charged with the kidnapping, assault and attempted murder of Ameer Singh in March.
According to the charge sheet, it is alleged that Amod had unlawfully and intentionally assaulted Singh, by forcing him to sniff cocaine on March 29.
It is further alleged that Amod thereafter repeatedly stabbed him, drove him to a sugar cane field in Umdloti, and then left.
