Hosting Eurovision 2027 should be seen not only as the organization of a major television production, but as a national project that can showcase Bulgaria to an international audience, attract tourists and investors, and create long-term benefits for the country, Bulgarian National Television (BNT) Director General Milena Milotinova said.
Speaking on BNT’s “The Day Begins” program, Milotinova said the contest represents a unique opportunity for Bulgaria to present its culture, identity and potential to viewers around the world.
“The goal and aspiration of BNT is not just to hold an event in one city, but to organize a national event, because hosting Eurovision is a national cause. It will present Bulgaria to the world in the best possible way,” she said.
She emphasized that Eurovision is broadcast in dozens of countries and provides Bulgaria with a platform to promote itself internationally.
“This is a huge opportunity for our country to show its national identity,” Milotinova added.
