LUCENA CITY — Typhoon Inday and the enhanced southwest monsoon have affected more than 1,000 families across the Calabarzon region, prompting the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to continue relief operations and prepare additional assistance for affected communities.
In a report released Saturday night (July 11), DSWD Field Office IV-A said an estimated 1,032 families in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon had been affected by the weather disturbance as of 4 p.m. Saturday, based on reports from local government units.
Since Saturday, the agency has provided P659,096 worth of humanitarian assistance to affected individuals and families.
