KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — At least 62,000 families or 309,707 individuals have been affected by widespread flooding and heavy rains in Maguindanao del Sur brought by Typhoon Inday and the southwest monsoon (habagat).
In a situational report, the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur said the floods affected 159 barangays in the province’s 19 municipalities as of Friday, July 10.
The highest number of affected individuals was recorded in Datu Piang with 37,180, followed by Datu Saudi Ampatuan with 36,150, Mamasapano with 30,475, and Datu Salibo with 30,090.
