KORONADAL CITY — Nearly 600 families in several barangays in Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte were displaced by flooding due to heavy rains triggered by Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) on Thursday.
Moctar Kabagani, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) chief, said the affected barangays include Damatog, Indatuan, Gayonga and Sabaken.
In Barangay Damatog, resident Maraga Sabal Sagadan said floodwaters rose to waist level in some areas, rendering roads impassable.
