BACOLOD CITY – The combined effects of the southwest monsoon or “habagat” and Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) displaced more than 2,000 residents in Negros Occidental, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported on Saturday.
The PDRRMO reported that a total of 2,787 individuals from 946 families in nine localities have been directly affected, with 41 evacuation centers actively housing 2,575 evacuees.
The affected populations are from Bago City, San Enrique, Pontevedra, La Carlota City, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Isabela, Sipalay City and Hinoba-an.

One house was destroyed and nine were damaged in Sipalay City. Eight other houses were damaged in Hinoba-an.FEATURED STORIES
