UKZN’s Women’s Volleyball team wins its second championship title at the USSA Games
After a thrilling final against DUT, the UKZN Women’s Volleyball team has successfully defended their USSA title, highlighting the emergence of new talent and the leadership of their coach.
The victory marks another milestone for the team, which claimed the national title in 2025 and has now cemented its place as one of the country's top university volleyball teams.
This year's triumph was particularly significant as three junior players, Anele Masondo, Hannah Enoch and Sreya Rajagopal, made their first-ever USSA final appearance and played a role in the championship-winning campaign.
Head coach Marcellino Harold said the team's preparations differed greatly from the previous year due to the departure of several senior players.
