UKZN students emerged among the biggest winners at the annual KZNCU Awards, held at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium last weekend, with several players recognised for their outstanding performances during the 2025/26 season.
The awards celebrated excellence across the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cricket talent pipeline and highlighted the depth of cricketing talent in KwaZulu-Natal.
Kamran Naraidu enjoyed a standout season, claiming both the Dolphins Academy Player of the Season and Bowler of the Season awards. Dylan Hullet was named Premier League Batter of the Season, while Blake Simpson received the Second Division Batter of the Season award.
UKZN Cricket Club Manager Kershan Govender was also honoured, receiving recognition for his outstanding achievement at the University Sport South Africa (USSA) Games held in Grahamstown last year.
