UKZN students emerged among the biggest winners at the annual KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union (KZNCU) Awards, claiming several of the ceremony's top honours.
Held at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium last weekend, the awards celebrated the outstanding performances and depth of the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cricket talent pipeline across the province during the 2025/2026 season.
The students who won awards were: Kamran Naraidu, who scooped both Player and Bowler of the Season in the Dolphins Academy; Dylan Hullet, who received Batter of the Season in the Premier League; and Blake Simpson, who was named Batter of the Season in the Second Division.
The UKZN Cricket Club Manager, Kershan Govender, also walked away a champion, receiving an award for his outstanding achievement at the University Sport South Africa (USSA) Games, held in Grahamstown last year.
